The Airtime Paragliding team is made up of highly experienced pilots from all across the world – and they choose to make the Lauterbrunnen valley ‘home’. When they’re not guiding our guests in the skies, you’ll find them flying solo, honing their 'acrobatic' flying skills, or perhaps training hard for the next World Championships!
Beni the Boss has been flying all over the world for over 30 years, and started Airtime Paragliding back in 2012. A local lad from Wengen, our fearless leader is an awesome pilot, keen skier, and all-round good guy! When he's not trying to keep the Airtime team under control, you'll find him on the mountain having fun with his kids.
Wouter traded the flatlands of Holland for the Swiss Alps, drawn by a life of mountain adventure. When he’s not in the air, he’s camping with his kids or kitesurfing on alpine lakes. After more than 20 years of paragliding, he still loves sharing the magic of flight with Airtime guests.
Bruno is one of those people who is good at EVERYTHING! A pilot for 17+ years (he stopped counting flights many years ago!), he also works with the local paragliding school, is a qualified plumber AND helps to run the local pub - he really has it all! Bruno is also a born-and-bred Mürren local, who loves to share a birds-eye view of his hometown with our guests.
Deano joins us from Queenstown, New Zealand... but his favourite part of the world to fly is right here in Mürren. He's been paragliding and speedflying (a smaller, faster paraglider) since 2006, and has flown over 5000 happy customers - his favourite part of the job is sharing his love of flying with all our guests, and watching them leave their comfort zone with a big smile on their face!
Louis is a professional paragliding pilot with more than one medal to his name - he regularly competes in 'Acrobatic' World Championship competitions where he usually ends up on a podium! He loves to share his passion for flight and is also a paragliding Instructor; we're stoked to have him flying with the Airtime team.
Mario has flown more than 1400 of our guests so far... He just LOVES giving people that 'holy crap, we're flyiiiing!' moment! In fact, Mürren is his favourite place on earth to fly - even if it does mean hiking up to take off with 20kilos on his back! - because the views from the top make it 100% worth it. Instagram? Never! He's too busy climbing, kitesurfing, diving, skiing, flying...
Lisa has been herding cats for Airtime Paragliding since we began, and is responsible for making sure you have the very best time with us! A UK import, she came to Lauterbrunnen for a 'little paragliding holiday' - and never left. More than 15 years and many dogs later, she is still here; keeping the pilots in line and loving the mountains!
Michael is a surfing, skating, and snowboarding pilot who first got into flying simply because it was easier than hiking down the mountain. What started as a practical shortcut quickly turned into a real passion. These days, he loves every side of flying—from acrobatic manoeuvres to cruising through stunning mountain landscapes. His favourite part of the job is simply making people happy every day… closely followed by getting to fly in such epic scenery.
Tobi is an awesome pilot who really loves to share his passion for flying. He came to the valley from Germany and never left - which we're stoked about because we love having him on the team! Tobi lives in Mürren and commutes to work by paraglider; when he is not in the air you will find him having mountain adventures with his family!
If you love your tandem flight, valley local Toni is the person to talk to - as well as flying passengers he also teaches people how to paraglide! Toni has spent 18 years making more than 12,000 flights - he is President of the local paragliding club, part of the mountain rescue team and even a ski racer. He's our Swiss Army Knife Pilot - he does it all!
The Captain! Andres spends half of his time sailing in the South Pacific, and half flying here in Mürren. Is there a better balance in life?! He has been flying with guests for more than 20 years, from Nepal to New Zealand... until landing in 'paradise' and joining the Airtime team in 2023.
Roger has been guiding people in the mountains for over 25 years; so adding 'flying from mountains' to climbing up them seemed a natural progression. Paragliding has quickly become a close second to mountaineering in his opinion, and he loves showing the unique beauty of the Lauterbrunnen valley to our guests.
Marika has been flying for 15+ years, and paragliding has taken her all over the world; from her native Czech to New Zealand and now, in summer season, she flies with the Airtime Team. She has flown with over 4000 happy guests and has flown solo many thousands more - you're in safe hands!
After more than 30,000 flights across the globe, World Champion pilot François still considers Mürren the best place in the world to fly. Known for pushing limits, he holds the world altitude record at an astonishing 8,225 metres. Yet each summer, he returns to Mürren - not for records, but for the joy of sharing unforgettable moments in the air with Airtime guests.
